This large gemstone cross pendant is set with three violet amethysts, three green peridots and a bright cultured opal in the centre, all approx. 0.70ct each.
The combination of gemstone colours was often used to show support for the women’s Suffrage movement in the early 20th Century and symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The stones are set in an open 9ct gold frame, edged with milgrain and complete with Birmingham hallmarks on the back of the bale. It would look beautiful suspended from a gold chain.
